We are continuing the month of September with our topic self-care. Below I've defended the five tips to self-care that everyone needs to know. Read, like and share. 😘
The first element is to detach. To fully enjoy your personalized self-care routine you must detach from all stressors. This includes your family, friends, job etc. Whatever is apart of your daily routine that takes up your time and energy put it on pause because today, this week or this month is dedicated to your self-care. This doesn't mean you stop keeping in contact with people or fall off the grid but detaching from people and things allows you to focus on yourself and what you need to be balanced.
Me, myself and I. The second element intuitive is simple. Reintroduce yourself to yourself by getting to know yourself. Sounds like a tongue twister but think about it. Being intuitive means that you discover what you like, how you like it and when you like it. Example: I love greenery. I legit believe in my past life I was either a country girl or indigenous woman so if I can be with nature I'm good. The best setting for me is to be in greenery with sunshine silence and isolation. This means sometime in the summer faraway from the city; probably on a farm or garden. Greenery for me melts away all of my stressors and opens up my energy to be one with nature peacefully.
The third element is meditation. I know with this "crunchy" era everyone brags about meditation like the latest trend. I'm not "crunchy" but I have to be real with you about meditation. Meditation in its proper context and application gives you a sense of control and fluidity. It opens your insight into your emotions and mental health. It invokes clarity and centeredness like no therapy session can. You can lose your sense of time delivering yourself to your most inner and private being.
The fourth element is selfish. It's okay to be selfish! Anyone who says otherwise wants you to be a sacrificial lamb or a doormat or ride or die or a come up (chick/guy) or handmaiden or anything else that takes you away from YOU! You must put yourself first in every situation. This is your space to do what you want when you want and how you want it unapologetically! If you want to go out dancing you better do that! Get your hair did and nails done. Grab your best flattering dress, pick out your slay-tastic heels, enhance your beauty with some makeup and dance your butt off.
The fifth element is obtain. Obtain and use all that you learned through your self-care journey and apply it in your everyday life. Don't let your gems and lessons go to waste or be something you schedule to do like thanksgiving dinner. Make self-care apart of your everyday life. You might not be able to go to a garden or dance everyday but you can meditate for ten minutes. You can light up scented candles. You can take a soothing bubble bath. This are just quick simple tips that will help you in your self-care journey to assist your wholeness.
