Clermezine Clermeille is the Godmother of harmony and music in Haitian Vodou. She is from Rada (a traditional drum group) and is widely believed to live in a place made out of crystal and diamond in the deepest section of the ocean where music is consistently playing. In Haiti, the loa (spirit) Clermezine Clermeille is mostly recognized and supported in the northern area of Haiti. She is affiliated with the Catholic Saint Cécile.
This is the song that is commonly sung to a person who becomes possessed with her spirit:
Sa ki mande pou Klèmèzin di yo li la Agoe Sa ki mande pou Klèmèzin di yo li la Agoe Bèl bagay ou pa janm wè Bèl bagay ou pa janm wè Klèmezin soti anba dlo li pral danse vyolon Klèmèzin ki soti anba dlo Li pral danse piyano Klèmèzin ki soti anba dlo li pral danse
Whoever asks for Clermezine tell them she is there Agoe Whoever asks for Clermezine tell the she is there Agoe Beatiful things you've never seen Beautiful things you've never seen Clermezine came under the water She is going to dance to the violin Clermezine came under the water She is going to dance to the piano Clermezine came under the water she is going to dance.
